Lisa Rotondi has been a music teacher since graduating from The College of New Jersey in 2000, where she earned a BM in Music Education, studying flute and voice. She previously taught in Roxbury, NJ and Bethlehem Township, NJ before arriving at her current work home in Bridgewater-Raritan Public Schools. In 2005, she earned her MA in Music Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. She is currently a 5-6th grade choral and general music teacher at Eisenhower Intermediate School.

Ms. Rotondi’s music education focus in Bridgewater-Raritan includes an interdisciplinary approach to music appreciation and performance. As a member of the school community, Ms. Rotondi has a special interest in social-emotional learning, inclusion and multiculturalism. In chorus, students hone their vocal skills as they grow as young singers, learning more challenging repertoire and ensemble skills. They will also learn interpersonal skills such as empathy, perseverance, and creative thinking that will hopefully help them to become even better young humans! Ms. Rotondi was a Governor’s Educator of the Year Award Winner in 2015.

Ms. Rotondi loves her students and watching them grow over the years. She enjoys seeing her former students working and living in Hunterdon and Somerset counties. She and her family live in Bridgewater, and her hobbies include baking, listening to public radio, walks around the neighborhood, cooking Italian food, and getting coffee at her favorite local cafe, where the baristas know her by name.
