A Cappella/Jazz Chair

Randy is the Director of Choirs at Hopewell Valley Central High School. The choirs have delighted audiences across the East Coast as well as abroad on tours of Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. The HVCHS choirs continue to receive exemplary ratings from various festivals, including: The National Jazz Festival, Roxbury Invitational, Berklee Jazz Festival (defunct), and NJ-ACDA Choral Festival. Randy received his Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Northern Colorado. He is also the NJAJE Chair of Vocal Jazz and directed the 2016 NJ Honors Jazz Choir and the 2013-15, and 2021 Region II Jazz Choirs. Randy is also the Founder and Director of an all-star high school jazz choir called the American Atlantic Chorale. Randy’s solo performance career includes roles in Opera & Musical Theater, as well as the genre of Jazz. Randy has been a featured soloist with Opera Classica Europa, Newtown Chamber Orchestra, Opera Fort Collins, and the Princeton Musical Amateurs Society. As a Music Educator, Randy has worked in three states, including time in New York City as a Teaching Artist with the Metropolitan Opera Guild.
