NJ-ACDA/NJMEA Choral Academy
Our Goal
The goal of the NJACDA/NJMEA Choral Academy is to empower students through a positive and meaningful ensemble experience. Through this free inclusive and equitable event, our goal is to help prepare our elementary, middle school, and high school choir students for successful auditions, whether it was for their local community choir, Regions, All-State, or college auditions.

Schedule
- 8:30 AM: Registration Table: 2 Google Forms – Student & Teacher Registration; NJMEA Advocacy Survey
- 9AM – 10 AM: with Guest clinician:
- Extensive warm-up to address fundamental technique & introduction to choral repertoire
- Run through major components of the audition process (middle school & high school only)
- Breakout Session
- 10 AM – 11 AM: Breakout Sessions/ Master Class with Guest Clinician
- 11 AM – 12 PM: Run-through choral repertoire
Location
Schare Hall, Shindell Hall, & Vorhees Chapel at Rutgers University, New Brunswick (specific room assignments will be determined by enrollment number and will be emailed to you at a later date).
