Director Responsibilities
- Supervising the preparation of audition and application materials.
- Ensuring that students are musically prepared for the first rehearsal.
- Coordinating efforts with parents and sponsoring organization to assure that singer is financed and has transportation provided.
- Ensuring all required paperwork is completed and submitted according to guidelines.
- Attending and assisting at both the Rehearsal Day and the Festival Day in their entirety. (If director is unable to attend, a pre-approved member of either NAfME or NJACDA must take his or her place.)
- Directors who serve as an audition judge may be excused from either the Rehearsal or Festival day.
Directors are required to attend two of the following days. Please check the two you plan to attend.*
- Judging Day - Saturday, January 21
- Rehearsal Day - Saturday, April 29
- Festival Day - Saturday, May 6
This requirement may be reduced to one day based director participation numbers.

Final Checklist
I collected the audition fee of $10 from each student and mailed one check made out to "NJMEA" for the combination of all students auditioning. For example, if you have 4 students applying, you should send a check to NJMEA for $40. If you have 4 students auditioning for Elementary and 4 students auditioning for Junior High you should send a check to NJMEA for $80. The director's name and school are included on the check or on an attached check form (linked on the auditions page)*
