Mike McCormick most recently served as the Choral Director at Holmdel High School from 2018-2021. There, he directed three handbell choirs, three vocal ensembles, and provided musical direction for the winter musical. While at Holmdel, several of Mike’s students were accepted into the All Shore, NJ All State, and both ACDA and NAfME All Eastern honor choirs. Currently, he serves as the Director of Music at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Basking Ridge, NJ where he directs and accompanies the Adult Choir for weekly services. Mike has also previously served as Assistant Conductor for the Westminster Community Chorus and Light Opera of New Jersey.

An active choral singer, Mike has performed alongside orchestras such as The Philadelphia Orchestra and New York Philharmonic, and with groups such as the Choir at Christ Church NYC, Beloit Chorale, and Sonare. He sang as a member of the Westminster Choir at Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, SC in choral concerts, chamber music collaborations, and opera choruses. In Fall 2021, he will begin work on his Masters in Choral Conducting at Rutgers University. Mike received a B.M. in Music Education from Westminster Choir College.
